The Cévennes form the foothills of the Massif Central. Accessibility can be difficult in this region meaning that population density is very low and industry and agriculture are almost inexistent. However, it boasts an abundance of different forest species (chestnut trees, cherry wood…) and flora (brambles, raspberry bushes, mint, Caluna fireweed…).
Available on 250 g, 500 g and 1kg
Color: light or dark brown.
Smell: its tannic aroma comes from the chestnut tree but it also has floral flavours that originate from the various nectars present, such as heather, meadow and woodland flowers.
Flavor: it has a slightly bitter taste depending on the type of flower visited by the bees.
It can be enjoyed by itself, for those who enjoy a taste with a bit of a kick, with bread, for cooking, into pastries and with fromages blancs and yoghurts.
Liquid honey to be stored at 20°C
