Bees produce pine tree honey from honeydew, which itself comes from the secretions made by aphids that inhabit the silver fir tree ‘abies pectinata or picea’.
The production zone includes the Vosges, the Jura, the Massif Central, the Pyrenees and Normandy. Production can extend from June to October depending on climatic conditions.
