The rhododendron, also known as the rose tree, is from the ericaceous family that includes heather and the strawberry tree. Originating from the world’s highest mountain range, the rhododendron was imported from Himalaya during the 18th century.

Color: its fine crystallisation gives it a slightly pearly white colour.
Smell: very subtle, balanced blend of smoke, vinegar and soot.
Flavor: the aroma is slightly woody but lasting and pleasant.
It can be enjoyed on its own, directly from the spoon; which is perhaps the best way to let yourself be transported to the great, open landscapes of its origin. It is also appreciated on a slice of bread or in your tea or herbal tea. This nectar is rich in oligo-elements and its properties contribute to joint suppleness. The honey is rare and its production, mainly in the Alps and Pyrenees, is unpredictable.
